This week, I worked on a look book for a fantastic designer, Eleanor Amoroso. Her pieces are beautifully hand-made and stunningly elegant. When she asked me to do the shoot, I jumped at the chance after seeing her collection.
We had a fantastic photographer on-board, David Sessions, who I had never worked with before.
For the make-up, I decided it should be kept quite minimal to keep the clothes the main
focus. We had a gorgeous model with amazing skin so kept the skin really fresh and highlighted & contoured the cheekbones. I then blended some nude iridescent eyeshadow onto the eyelid and defined the socket-line with bronze and brown tones. I added slight definition to the inside corners of the lash lane. I added brown mascara to the top lashes & the central part of the lower lashes. The model had lovely eyebrows so I just added a touch of definition to them. I decided to leave the lip nude & added MAC’s “Fleshpot”
As the collection had intricate detailing, I decided the hair would be best up so it didn’t conceal any of the clothes. I pulled her hair back into a tight pony-tail and Elly had created some cuffs that we placed around the pony tail.
We shot eight pieces in total & all of them were stunning! Elly is a true talent and I’m sure she is destined to go to high places! Check out her website for more images of her collections http://eleanoramoroso.com/ – I shall post the images from our day in my portfolio section very soon!
