This week, I worked at a Fellowship Masterclass Hair show with fantastic stylist, Emma Pearson-Brown. It was an evening in which some of the UK’s top hair stylists came together to showcase their skills to other hairstylists.
We had two models and our theme was “Afrocentric”. Emma created an intricate design combining fabrics into plaits. The clothes also expressed the theme with bold tribal prints.
I decided that we should go for earthy tones with the skin & eyes and then have a really bright lip to contrast. I love NARS Sheer Glow foundations, so I used these on both the girls. I highlighted the cheekbones with golden tones and added similar tones across the eyes. To add a touch of colour, I used a metallic blue-tone eyeshadow that complemented the bronze tones. I then outlined the eyes with a bronze liquid liner and created a double-flick. Lots of lashing of mascara – one of the models, Kim, had the most amazing long lashes! On the lips, I used MAC’s “Girl About Town”, which a lovely vibrant pink shade that I adore! I finished off the cheeks with MAC’s Mineralised Skin Finish bronzers.
Once again, a fab night working with Emma & her team! There was some AMAZING talent in the room & it was brilliant to see & to be involved with.
