Last week, I filmed with ITV’s This Morning team. We were filming fashion films showcasing Autumn / Winter trends for the show. It was an early morning rise to get to our East London location, the AMAZING Le Trois Garcons www.letroisgarcons.com . This incredible venue is full of decadent artifacts and was the perfect backdrop for our first trend, Baroque. On hair was the fab, Kim Rance. Providing gorgeous art pieces for the shoot was Lauren Baker (http://www.laurenbakermosaics.tumblr.com ) Check out her stuff, it’s fantastic.
The make-up look was inspired by the Gucci A/W show. After creating bases with Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, I highlighted and contoured the face. I swept a nude tone across the eyes and emphasied the socket line with a jewelled red tone. I didn’t wanted the eyes to be too strong so just slight definition. I then filed the brows and applied mascara. I wanted the girls to have a really strong lip, so I applied MAC’s “Rebel” on both, which is a gorgeous plum tone and perfect for our look.
The second look was showcasing the “60’s” trend and we had a vintage London bus to film on! It as so much fun driving around London in!
For this look, I emphasised the girls eyes with traditional Sixties lines, using MAC’s Fluidline in “Blacktrack”. I also added white eyeshadow to the lids. I added false lashes to really emphasis the glamour of the Sixties. I then applied a pale pink to the lips to complete the look. One of our models had really long hair, so Kim created a Beehive, which looked amazing!
It was a fantastic day filming, especially going around on the bus! The film clips will be shown on This Morning’s autumn season, which starts soon! Thanks to Sophie, Anna and the This Morning crew for having us on board!
